Our Story

Hard2Kill CrossFit is here to help you achieve your goals on your health and fitness journey. We want you to be prepared for whatever life may throw at you, an unexpected health diagnosis, an accident, a mental health break, any unforeseen situations. Whatever life throws at you, studies have shown healthier, stronger bodies can help you fight whatever life situation occurs, not to mention our ownerโ€™s first hand experience of fighting for his life. 

We aspire to provide an encouraging and engaging environment for you to thrive in. Our programming is developed for all walks of life, for the beginner to the professional CrossFitter. WODs are different every single day and can be tailored to each individual. H2K CF wants YOU to be hard to kill!

All coaches are CF-L1 certified.

#know the story

On November 12, 2012, Donnell began his CF journey. On April 9, 2013 his life stopped, literally, unresponsive, pronounced DOA. Driving home on his motorcycle, an accident ensued, causing Donnell to get hit head-on, going airborne into on-coming traffic and ultimately being run over by a truck. He spent three & a half weeks of his life in coma with multiple life threatening injuries. By the grace of God and being in such great health, he is here today. Doctors and nurses said he would never have survived if it was not for the great health and condition he was in. His ortho trauma doctor even noted that โ€œthe patient had tremendous bone quality. His bone was very dense. It was actually difficult to drill at times in both his pelvis and femur, as well as difficult to advance screws due to the significant purchase achieved.โ€

Several years were spent rehabilitating, all the while hearing from doctors and therapist that โ€œnobody comes back the way you have.โ€ He had to learn how to walk and talk again. Even after a year, he struggled to stand up and maintain balance, and couldnโ€™t even touch his toes. He modified everything when he was able to get back in the gym. His body was now riddled with metal, titanium, rods, plates, screws and bolts. His speed, strength and range of motion may never be like it was but that's not going to stop him from helping others and makes this opportunity so passionate for him.
